Words have the power to encourage.

May the words you read in these blog posts lift your spirits and draw you into a deeper personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Stepping Out On Faith Again

Stepping Out On Faith Again

I began this year feeling emotionally drained and scatterbrained.  Last year was hard on all of us and for me it was a true test of choosing joy and living encouraged no matter what.

Jesus Is The Light Of The World

Jesus Is The Light Of The World

Light is bold. It stands out in darkness. Even if it’s dim, it can be seen. Even a faint light in the far distance of a pitch black night will catch someone’s attention. When we feel lost God’s Word lights our path.

Stop Waiting For A Sign From God, Do It Scared

Stop Waiting For A Sign From God, Do It Scared

The Bible says, “Write the vision and make it plain…” But what if you’re too scared to write it down because that means you have to do something about it…

Are You Ready To Say Yes To God?

Are You Ready To Say Yes To God?

I’ve been disobedient. I don’t like to admit it. Especially not publicly, but hopefully my story will encourage you not to follow in my footsteps. Have you ever had one of those moments where you know God told you to do something and in the moment you were all excited and planned to follow through, but then later...

Get up off the mat. It's not over.

Get up off the mat. It's not over.

I’ve honestly never been interested in boxing. Why someone would want to participate in a sport where they are going to get punched and bruised is beyond my comprehension. But I do find the imagery of boxing so relatable. In order to achieve victory, we all experience some bumps and bruises. We get knocked down and no matter how much it hurts, we have to make the decision to get back up in spite of the pain. We have to dig down deep and find the strength to keep fighting.

Getting Passed the Past

Getting Passed the Past

Our story can dictate our decisions and our life. We can hold onto our story so much that it causes present pain. Where does your past take you? Does it cause regret, fear or heartbreak? Does your past produce negative emotions? If your answer is yes, then you may be cleaving to the past. It’s good when we’re able to look back on the past and see where it’s brought us. This helps us to see life from a positive perspective. Our past is a testimony for others and can bring someone closer to Christ. Our past story can change a heart. However, the issues arise when…

Don’t Miss The Big Picture

Don’t Miss The Big Picture

Sometimes it seems like things would be so much easier if we could just give up. In the midst of the struggle; when the going gets tough; when it seems like nothing is working out in our favor, we lose sight of the big picture and get lost in the right now details.

Don't Limit God

Don't Limit God

Believe He will do what He says He will do! Whatever situation you find yourself in, remember that He can make a way out of no way. He can make even the most difficult situations work out for your good. He is not limited by your limitations. He is not limited by your imagination. His power is not limited. His forgiveness is not limited. His grace is not limited.
