A year ago I came home and the way my husband was acting I thought he needed sleep. He did this all the time. He wouldn't sleep then he would be in like a sleep but awake state…luckily this time God made sure I had 3 great friends with me when I got the news that my husband died.

When have you stepped out of your comfort zone without knowing it? By leaving your comfort zone behind and taking a leap of faith into something new, you find out who you are truly capable of becoming.

Don't ever get so focused on your purpose that you aren't willing to be used by God. As I write this blog post, I realize that I'm probably preaching to myself more than to you, but I hope that the way the Spirit has been convicting me might be an encouragement to you.

In our humanity we often get caught up with the extraordinary events of our lives, and we easily overlook the ordinary moments in our lives." I heard this statement recently and it struck me how I can miss out on what the Lord is doing in my life everyday when I only focus on the extraordinary events.

I don't know about you, but somehow I've completely confused what I was taught about having a strong work ethic with the idea of constant hustle. Do you find yourself going and going, non-stop? Your hustling might be related to a different area of your life, but I hope that in sharing this journey of how God is showing me that having a strong work ethic doesn't mean that I have to hustle non-stop will help you find freedom too.

Our story can dictate our decisions and our life. We can hold onto our story so much that it causes present pain. Where does your past take you? Does it cause regret, fear or heartbreak? Does your past produce negative emotions? If your answer is yes, then you may be cleaving to the past. It’s good when we’re able to look back on the past and see where it’s brought us. This helps us to see life from a positive perspective. Our past is a testimony for others and can bring someone closer to Christ. Our past story can change a heart. However, the issues arise when…
