You know that saying that goes “actions speak louder than words”?I’ve always had trouble totally agreeing with it, because my life experiences have proven to me that words matter. Actions are very important. Yes they are! But I believe words have a unique power all their own.
Your core worth as a person is not based on your net worth. Fear will keep you struck, but praising Jesus in-spite of it will let you be greater than the circumstances.
Don't give up. God is not done with you yet. He just might be in the process of answering your prayer.
You read, “…the joy of the Lord is your strength” Nehemiah 8:10 (NIV), and you wonder, how can I have that joy and courage during those over-stressed moments when I can’t take the pressure anymore? There really is a joy and strength from God that no unkind person or bad situation can touch.
We think we know the desires of our heart, but we can only understand them on a ‘surface’ level. This is something it’s taken me years to understand…
When people say and do hurtful things it makes me sad. Yes it affects me personally, but my hurt usually turns into sadness for them. I try not to focus on my hurt, but instead see them through God’s eyes.
When I truly accepted that bad things were going to happen in my life and that it didn’t mean that I had been forsaken; it didn’t mean that all hope was lost; and it didn’t mean that there weren’t good things that would also continue to happen in my future….it was such a relief!

Some of us, #preachingtomyselftoo, take ourselves and the things that happen to us way too seriously. Yes, there are serious things that happen. Very serious things. Yes, as individuals we have value and worth and shouldn’t let anyone disrespect us or not take us seriously. But I meet so many women that seem to have forgotten that life is meant to be fun too.
God has a purpose for all things and that totally includes you!
Like most people I have very strong personal opinions about politics. But I’ve never bought into the idea that I have to chose a team. Please don’t misunderstand me - I vote, I support candidates and causes I believe in, but I try to always keep my eyes on God.
