Words have the power to encourage.

When have you stepped out of your comfort zone without knowing it? By leaving your comfort zone behind and taking a leap of faith into something new, you find out who you are truly capable of becoming.

Don't ever get so focused on your purpose that you aren't willing to be used by God. As I write this blog post, I realize that I'm probably preaching to myself more than to you, but I hope that the way the Spirit has been convicting me might be an encouragement to you.

Our story can dictate our decisions and our life. We can hold onto our story so much that it causes present pain. Where does your past take you? Does it cause regret, fear or heartbreak? Does your past produce negative emotions? If your answer is yes, then you may be cleaving to the past. It’s good when we’re able to look back on the past and see where it’s brought us. It’s just a few days before the first official day of Summer as I sit on our couch, writing this post. The weather has been a hot topic of discussion as my friends from coast to coast have commented on how it still feels like winter. Today it’s actually drizzling here, rain spotting the ground and outside my window one of our trees is steadily dropping its leaves. It reminds me of how life is, how sometimes even though we’re ready for the sun to shine, cold winds blow and storm clouds continue to loom.

Believe He will do what He says He will do! Whatever situation you find yourself in, remember that He can make a way out of no way. He can make even the most difficult situations work out for your good. He is not limited by your limitations. He is not limited by your imagination. His power is not limited. His forgiveness is not limited. His grace is not limited.

Do you hear the Lord in the daily decisions of your life? I do. I don't literally hear his voice, but I can feel the Spirit leading me in the direction I should go and convicting me when I decide not to follow.
