Let go of what hurt you, but never forget what it taught you.
Sometimes we have to be reminded that life is a journey. We haven't reached the end destination yet, so we should expect some ups and downs. They are completely normal, but sometimes we get stuck in a "down" season and forget to keep looking forward, searching for the joy or the lesson. Those tough seasons are meant to teach us something and make us stronger.
So instead of just trying to push through them, I've learned to slow down and try to understand the lesson that God has for me. Personally, I've found that those lessons have prepared me for other challenges I had no idea were ahead. And although they were tough challenges, I still found joy in knowing that my God knew they were coming and had already strengthened me to deal with them. I hope you'll set aside some time to think through the challenges you've had and contemplate what God was trying to teach you in that season....or maybe what He's trying to teach you right now and how you can apply those lessons to a brighter future moving forward.
